Life happens: vacations, illnesses, unexpected days off. Your streak page lets you save missed days with Stempos, a special in-game currency. On a paid plan you can also plan days off ahead. (See Resources & Currency for how to get Stempos.) What each plan can save: Your 3 free saves come back on the 1st of each month, in your Account Timezone.

How to save or plan days:
  1. Pick the days. Tap a quick pick in the save card, such as Save today, Plan tomorrow off or a range of missed days, or tap days on the calendar. Wide screens show two months side by side.
  2. Check the price. The button shows Save for X Stempos, or Save for free. Tap Clear to start over.
  3. Confirm. Tap the button, then check the days and the Stempos you will have left in the confirmation window and tap Save for X Stempos again. Your calendar updates right away and you see Streak saved!, Today counts! or Days off planned!

When a pick joins your streak to an earlier run, the quick pick tells you the result, for example Your streak becomes 4 days. The Free plan also shows Saves left this month above the days you picked. The save card is called Keep your streak safe on a paid plan and Missed a day? Save it. on the Free plan. When no missed day from the last 60 days needs saving, it shows All caught up. Older missed days can still be picked on the calendar. What each day costs: If you’re on the Free plan and pick more missed days than you have saves left this month, the save doesn’t go through. The save card shows how many saves you have left. Days you already wrote 444+ words on cost nothing. They are left out of the price. Tap the info button in the save card to see the calendar key and What a save costs, with the prices for your plan.

A saved or planned day pays its streak and day rewards when that day arrives, not when you save it. Planned days count toward your streak when they arrive, and your streak card shows them, for example 3 days planned ahead, through Nov 14.
On a paid plan, a day off planned ahead costs half as much as saving a missed day (1 vs 2 Stempos). If you know a vacation or busy week is coming, plan those days off in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. On the Free plan you can save up to 3 missed days a month from the last 7 days, for 2 Stempos a day. Saving today costs 1 Stempo and doesn’t use one of your 3. Your saves come back on the 1st of each month.
On a paid plan, yes, if it was within the past year: 2 Stempos a day for the last 30 days and 3 a day for older days. On the Free plan, saves reach back 7 days. Days older than that cannot be saved.
Missed days cost 2 Stempos each, and older days on a paid plan (31 days to a year back) cost 3 Stempos each. Today is free on a paid plan and 1 Stempo on the Free plan. Days off ahead (paid plans) cost 1 Stempo each. Days you already wrote 444+ words on are free.
They come back on the 1st of next month, in your account timezone. Member, Pro and Lifetime save any missed day from the past year and can plan days off ahead. See Plans & Pricing.
You don’t have enough Stempos for the days you picked. The Stempo Store opens in the save card, where you can buy more.

Saves reach back a year on a paid plan and 7 days on the Free plan. Older missed days cannot be saved. On a paid plan, you can plan days off ahead before a break.
Your streak day ends at midnight in your Account Timezone. If your timezone is wrong (for example, still set to a city you no longer live in), midnight can fall at an unexpected time.Update your timezone in account settings right away. If the missed day is still inside your saving window, you can use Stempos to save it.
