Overview

The Dragon Lair is a desert Expedition Area where you raise dragons from eggs into adult battle companions. You bond with your dragon through quests, guiding it through six growth stages, from dormant egg to a fully trained adult that fights alongside you in battle. Each of the six dragon breeds has a unique set of base stats, so choosing your dragon is a meaningful decision that shapes how you play.

How to Unlock the Dragon Lair

The Dragon Lair is not on the main Our Valley world map. It’s in the Expedition Areas. To unlock it:
  1. Progress through the main story up to Three Points Crossing.
  2. Complete “Camouflage”, the 3rd main quest in Three Points Crossing.
  3. Complete “Next Stop: Dragon Lair!”, a side quest from the Three Points Crossing quest market.
Once complete, the Dragon Lair appears on the Expedition Areas map.

What’s Inside

The Dragon Lair has five unique markets when you arrive:
AreaType
Nabia’s Dig StationMarket: general supplies
Dragon EggsMarket: buy dragon eggs
Companion UpgradesMarket: upgrade your adult dragon’s stats
Dig Site QuestsQuest market
Dragon Lair QuestsQuest market
Some dragons require items from areas you may not have unlocked yet. If a dragon’s egg requirements aren’t met, keep progressing through the main quest.

Choosing Your Dragon

6 dragon breeds are available. Once you buy an egg from the Dragon Eggs market, you begin raising that dragon. You can own multiple eggs and grow one of each breed, but you can only actively raise one at a time per breed. Each dragon has fixed base stats when it reaches adulthood:
DragonAttackDefenseLuckBest for
Kaiszar1200Pure Attack: cutting through high-HP monsters faster
Loksi0120Pure Defense: Endurance Battles and extra time in solo fights
Thalamaris0012Pure Luck: farming item drops and rare loot
Rairasel606Balanced Attack and Luck, no Defense
Eenris363Moderate across all three stats
Valkos444Good all-rounder if you don’t want to specialize
Each dragon also has an affinity for certain item types and will require items related to their element as they grow. For example, Valkos (a fire dragon) wants Desert Stones, while Thalamaris (a Dust dragon) prefers items from the Light Region.

Growth Stages

Your dragon progresses through 6 stages by completing quests in the Dragon Lair:
The Dragon Trainer Path showing all 5 growth stages from Egg to Adult Battle Companion with quest requirements and rewards
StageName
1stEgg: dormant, waiting to hatch
2ndBaby: just hatched, young and curious
3rdTeenager: growing fast
4thYoung Adult: nearly full-grown
5thAdult: Rite of Passage. Your dragon becomes a battle companion you can equip in your Hero Inventory
6thExtra Stage: unlocks the Battle Training to further upgrade its battle stats
The 6th Extra Stage is post-adult content. Completing the Battle Training quest at the Companion Upgrades market earns you Golden Dragon Armor. Used to permanently boost your dragon’s stats further.

Your Dragon as a Companion

Once your dragon reaches Adult stage, it becomes equippable as a companion from your Inventory. Its base stats apply passively to all your battles as long as it’s equipped.

Upgrading with Golden Dragon Armor

Upgrade your Dragon Companions: 3-step process from Battle Companion to Golden Dragon Armor to choosing +4 Attack, Defense, or Luck
After completing the 6th Extra Stage and the Battle Training quest, you earn Golden Dragon Armor for that dragon. At the Companion Upgrades market, you can craft one upgrade per dragon:
  • +4 Attack, or
  • +4 Defense, or
  • +4 Luck
This is a permanent, one-time choice per dragon that can’t be changed. Pick the stat that best complements your dragon’s existing strengths.
