Writing Battles are how you fight monsters in 4thewords. Pick a monster, open a document, and write — your words deal damage, and the more you write, the harder you hit. Three kinds of battles: solo (write enough words to defeat a monster before time runs out), endurance (defend against a monster’s attacks and write until the timer expires), and co-op (team up with other Dust Warriors to defeat a shared monster).

Solo Battles

Defeat monsters by writing words before time runs out. Your Attack stat makes your words hit harder.

Endurance Battles

Survive monster attacks by writing consistently. Earn up to a 4× reward multiplier.

Co-Op Battles

Team up with 2–8 Dust Warriors to defeat a shared monster. Everyone writes in their own file.

Battle List

Manage your monster queue, auto-start chains, and loop battles for efficient grinding and uninterrupted writing sessions.
